Forex Calculator:
The value of 1 pip is calculated according to the following formula:
1. XXX/USD
pip value = 1 * (trade volume)
2. USD/XXX
pip value = 1/(USD/XXX) * (trade volume)
3. AAA/BBB
pip value = (AAA/USD)/ (AAA/BBB) * (trade volume)

The 1 pip value of a CFD is calculated according to the formula below:
Pip value = volume * contract size * minimum price change.

CFD profit and loss is calculated with dividend adjustment.
The amount of dividend adjustment is added to the account balance in case a buy trade remains open on the ex-dividend date and is deducted from the account balance if there is an open sell trade on the ex-dividend date.

Dividend adjustment calculation example:

The Board of Directors of Microsoft company (MSFT) announces the payment of a quarterly dividend in amount of $0.130 per share on June 10, 2009:

* Ex-Date - 08.18.2009;
* Record Date - 08.20.2009;
* Pay Date - 10.09.2009.

The amount of dividends for a 1 lot trade will equal 100 x 0.130 = $ 13.
If a 1 lot (100 shares) sell position is open on April 18, $13 will be deducted. If a 1 lot buy position is open, $13 will be added. The dividends are deducted or added on the ex-date.
